I think I have done everything to this engine and it still doesnt run right. This is a international 301 gas. I have adjusted the valves and the carb is adjusted right. It sounds good when it is running at one rpm. But when you snap the throttle it slobbers and sometimes dies. It did this before I installed electronic ignition. It did it afterwards as well. It is timed correctly and the spark is good. I think the advance in the distributor isnt working right. What do I need to do to rebuild the distributor so that it runs smoothly? Where can I get the parts? What do I need to watch out for so that I put it back together right? Also the tractor pops back out through the carb sometimes while I am starting it. Could this be part of the distributor not advancing correctly?
