My recent trip to the Half-Century of Progress show has sparked my interest in getting a corn picker. One of my Grandpa's friends that was working there had his Unstyled JD A with a 1-row New Idea corn picker. (steel wheels and work clothes, if you saw that one there) I have a 1937 JD A and the 323 NI 1-row seems to be avaiable in my area. What are your opinions on this machine? Does it have any hydraulic functions? Is it likely that the 323 was the model that I saw working at the show? It seemed to work pretty smoothly and match the A well.
