Dad bought one of those AC5040 brand new. Best thing we ever did was get rid of it ! I'm sure it is still running around somewhere,but it was not anywhere near the quailty of a John Deere of the same size and time frame. And yes I do think JD has really dropped the ball on their new tractors. I have a Kubota and it is not junk either.
