David I grew up near Folsom, California (home Folsom prison) They used big dredgers along the river to get the gold out they dredgers left huge piles of round river rock where they had passed by.
I stay at a house one day not to long ago that was built on top of these piles of rock, they just bulldozed them plat and cover them with a layer of dirt. The owner said if you dig down a foot you hit solid rock.
I told him what it was when I was kid, he then understood why.

As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
