Indiana has a do not call list that I accessed and did a couple of years ago. Don't remember the number, but have only gotten one or two in years. Text messaging is supposed to be open or opened up, but haven't gotten any of them either. Guess I'm lucky.
I did have an email from friends a couple of years ago that was the best for telemarketers. The best. Listened to a sound track (wave file) of this guy getting a call, him and the telemarketer. He answers the phone and starts talking as though he's in the middle of a conversation as a detective investigating a homocide, then gives the telemarketer a stern "HELLO, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WANT". The telemarketer starts with..., and he cuts him off and tells him he's interrupting a murder investigation, and keeps it up. Then he starts questioning the telemarketer about his where abouts at x-time on x-day, starts calling the telemarketer a dumba$$, telling him the call's being traced and threatening to come arrest him as a suspect. Was hillarious. You could see the telemarketer shaking in his shoes and soiling his shorts hundreds of miles away as the guy berated him as only some big city homocide detective whom has seen it all, can do. Was a good one. That telephone number came off of calling lists.
