Most rear disc calipers need to be adjusted after pad replacement and turning of rotors. After you have retracted the pistons all the way by turning and pushing them in,(special tools make it easy) replace your pads. Then put everything back together and actuate and release the parking brake several times (about 20 times). This ratchets the piston out and raises your brake pedal.If this procedure doesn"t work, calipers probably need replaced. G.M. calipers are famous for sticking and causing trouble in the rear. I would advise replacing them when rear brakes are replaced.(70,000 to 80,000mi.)
