I've got 2 pear trees, it's tough to eat em all, so I give some away, but yeah it would be courteous to ask, like someone said, they are in season, go see if you can find some locally, you'll forget about those idiots, what comes around goes around, most thieves usually deal with something, you may never hear anything about it, but I've always thought that was true, many things happen for a reason, still a crappy thing to do, I do enjoy mine every year just the same, if someone did that, I'd be a little annoyed too, don't lose any sleep over it though, some people just have no common sense at all.
