Yep.. in the rear end of the NAA and up tractors that have seperate compartments, you can use 85/140 or 80w90 or 75w90 gear oil.. pretty much any flavor.
OR you can use UTF.
Good luck on the 000 grease. I'm guessing you will find it or at least the JD cornhead grease. Wost case is you make do with some #2 and gear oil to make it pourable.
Some things are prtty tolerant. A gearbox on a big mower I have states it can run 80w90, 85/140 or 0# grease... I split the difference between grease and gear oil... been working good for years.
