New a guy that was in Vietnam in a construction batallion and he told this story as true. Said they got a dozer stuck in a rice paddy, I think he said it was a D6. Anyway they didn"t have another vehicle large enough to pull it out anywhere close. So, one of the demolition guys had a bright idea and swore he could blow enough of the mud away from it to get it unstuck. Wether getting it unstuck was his actual intent or not nobody knew....What they know is he planted enough charges around the machine that when he set them off there wasn"t anything left but a BIG hole and pats falling everywhere. True story or not I don"t know but I"d have loved to have seen it happen.
