About 2 months ago I pulled out a 12 inch elm tree with my Case 930 so that D-19 should have no problem doing so. But I would cut it off as high as you can and it will come out a lot easier. When I pulled that elm I hooked the chain at about 8 foot up and it popped right out of the ground and that case didn't even know it had pulled any thing till it hooked another tree and thens when the 1/2 inch cable snapped
