I cut stalks when the corn is picked.I load them on the tractor carry all and bring them to the cows.I limit the amount they get this way.I have heard there is some danger from prussic acid poisoning in wilted sweet corn stalks.The cows do like the green corn better than dry.The center of the green stalk is full of sugar.Ive fed green sweet corn stalks to cattle for over 40 years with no problems.
