smotch-- My reference is an old Detriot Field Service Data Book. It shows a number of choices for injectors from 35s to N70s. The timing is the same, 1.460. However it also shows a 1976 6V-53N Federal Certified engine with advanced cam timing and the injector timing at 1.470. I don't know your application but here in Calif, they are requiring smog certified TIER engines in everything including offroad tractors and construction equipment. I'm in a real jam with my 8v-71s My choice would be to stay close to the original. I put 75s in a 8v-71T. Fuel consumption went up as well as smoke and not a noticeable power increase. I went back N70s in all 71s
