The working end of the machine is three separate staggered rods so that it will follow the contour of the land.
Three of the tires drive the three reverse-rotating rods via gears and chains. The two outter wheels and the left inner (ya can't see that driveshaft).
I've got that 966 turned up to 115 horse and it just played with it. :>)
