I personally like new trucks over old ones. Mainly cause around here a pre 90 truck is mostly rust by now. ON the other hand I have 2 trucks one 3/4 ton dodge ram hemi 4x4 and one half ton dodge quad cab 4x4 with the 360 both get between 12-20mpg depending what your doing with them. I've never expected a truck to have good gas mileage no matter what the age, I mean after all the aerodynamics is what kill your mileage. Throw a brick through the air then throw a Frisbee and see which one goes farther on less effort.
