Looks to be a Briggs and Stratton engine, which was made in February 1972. The first 2 digits of the code are the year, the next 2 are the month. The tractor was probably made the same year, or the next year. Someone more knowledgable with cub cadets may be able to pin point it more accurately using the tractors serial #.
