I would be pretty careful re-using them, especially in a high-vibration environment. Of course any time you have temperatures over 120 degF you probably want to avoid the nylocks.

(We won't talk about the time I used nylocks on my PowerWagon exhaust pipes! LOL)

If you want something that can be reused, look at a Top Lock nut, where the ends of the threads are deformed to interfere with the bolt and grip tightly (an example would be the nuts on a bolted sickle section).
