Speaking as a person of mostly German heritage I agree with you to an extent. When there is work at hand I tend to be all busines. However most Germans like to visit as much as the next guy , just not in the middle of doing something . As my grandfather (who came here from Germany in 1927) used to say, "when its time to work, its time to work!!
