61 I don't feel anyone "answered your " question. Talk to a lawyer in your state. Liability is an issue if you receive money for this. Abandond horses could be an issue. Watch out for any conveyed property rights if they use it long term. If they fail to care for the animals the humane agents could go after you. Hope this gives you better ideas. One suggestion would be a contract, have an ending date and get a security deposit to cover any of the above. If they agree to that you probably have good tenants.
