Help! Ford 4000 HD Industrial won't move

I just purchased a Ford 4000 HD Industrial with a powershift tranny, front loader & hoe. It runs & the hydraulics work, but it won't drive. The previous owner was back dragging when it stopped in its tracks and wouldn't move. I haven't had opportunity to check it out yet, and I'm not sure where to start looking for the problem. Does anyone know of problems with this transmission or what the problem might be? Thanks for any advice.
