I'm familiar with adjusting ring gaps but I am curious if they come set from the factory.

A local well respected engine machine shop told me that on most rebuild sleeve/piston combinations that they are pretty much identical between sleeve piston sets now days due to the automated machinery doing the honing and machining processes.
