Simple, Ford has the best truck, and Dodge is using the best diesel currently being put in pickups. V8 diesels have never cut it in my books.

Now, if GM hadn't nickled and dimed it's pickup to death over the past 20 years and gone with a inline 6 Deere, like they could have and should have, it would have been a whole different ball game. I've had 6,000lbs in the bed of my 78 and 86 Chevy's many times and all that ever gave me cause for concern were the tires.
