you over hauled the engine. BUT did you even service the starter. and generator. take your starter off disasemble it carefully clean out all the copper dust and also put in mew brusshes clean the armeture and grease the bearings .and be shure to clean the mounting flange off paint so you get a good ground. don't forget the starter drive gear. do a clean on the generator also. it will help alot in cranking
