I have a 06 Duramax extended cab 3/4 ton. Great truck as the other have said and it tows great. Towed about 6k pounds total with it awhile ago and it ran 70 down the highway pretty easy and I was getting about 15MPG per the DIC. Don't beleive the folks who say they get 20+ on the highway driving between 65 - 75 MPH. I drive 80% highway and I get between 17 - 19 MPG unloaded. The 1 ton will probably get a little less since you have more rubber on the road. By the way, the truck is for sale if you are interested in a 3/4 ton. I am in OH. Shoot me a email if you have anymore questions. Scott
