Pressure is pressure. However, "dry" nitrogen has a more consistent pressure over a range of temperature than air. That's because it has almost no water in it. The densities of oxygen and nitrogen are about the same, but water is much less dense and more compressible than either O₂ or N₂.

If you think your gauges are right, and the dealer is too cheap to add any more nitrogen to your tires, just give 'em a shot of air. The amount of water you're going to add is insignificant.
