I did pretty much the same thing. Planted all corn this year. I usually do a 50/50 corn/soybean rotation. I have most of my corn production contracted at $3.91 to $4.05 per bushel, off the combine. Plus, I have contracted for an additional .25 to .50 cents per bushel for NGMO. I was considering switching to all corn even before the big price run up. Beans are becoming a more troublesome crop all the time. Aphids, the new rust threats, more herbicide resistant weeds, SDS and pretty much flat yields. And, yes, the dirt. So, at 200 bu./acre @ 4.50 a bushel, I"m satisfied that I planted all corn this year.
