C-man, sounds like that bunch was probably into a case or two of beer. I get the finger all the time on the road. I just wave and go on. I figure if I am on a tractor or whatever, I am in as big a hurry as the next guy. What worries me is a lot of these knuckleheads will pass in blind spots, not even considering whether anything is coming or not. A neighbor was pulling a load of hay down the road about 4 years ago when a drunk, whom I knew tried passing him and hit a culvert on the left side of the road. He isn't in to big a hurry now. He did not survive the wreck. He had been out for two days drinking and was headed home. I just don't understand the lack of saftey in some of these peoples minds. I have had many pass me just to catch up with them at a light or even stop signs.
