Well then, instead of sitting on your butt and later wasting your time telling us about it here, why didn't you go outside and teach him how to do it correctly? You did say he worked for the same company as you right? Is there a rule there that the smart guys can't pass any knowledge onto the dummies? You see, that's why they teach doctors to do surgery, etc. They just don't throw them into the operating room and then let them go and then criticize them saying .... "did you see the mess that stupid idiot made when removing those appendix"? In my opinion, you're the guy who should be receiving criticism here.
