for caz(ky) jap beetle trap

here is a couple pics of my beetle traps attached to plastic drums. i have em set around the edges of the fields. they use a pheremone lure and the bugs fall in the trap. works good. last year the little buggers tore heck on everything. this year they are no where near as bad. some guys say dont use them, just keep spraying insecticides. from what i seen, the beetle lands on a plant starts feeding, releases a scent, then a herd of em show up, strip the plant of foilage, then move on. i figgure they do a lot less damage if i can get em in the barrel, and keep em off my crops. i been spraying the garden and fruit trees with liquid sevin, 2 oz per gallon, seems to discourage them .
