We have coon trouble here in So.IL I use the combo live trap, bear trap, and the 12 ga or 45 acp which ever handy at the time. If you use the live trap best thing to do is shoot it because I was catching one every week and taking it out of town 15-20 mile. It looked like the same one every time so I marked it once with paint sure enough it was the same one. After that I shot it and no more for awhile. The bear trap you need to stay on top of since they can get out if left in to long but usualy don't come back.
