5" is plenty bush hog. You absolutely must have an overrunning clutch on the PTO or you will do great harm to yourself, the tractor, or a building. Unless the engine has been replaced, the side distribbutor came only in the last year of 8N production, which was '52 or '53. I used to know when I had an 8N. Since then I found not all tractors are such toys. Gerald J.
