I read through all the posts and basically have to say, consider yourself lucky. At the feed store, with a retail markup of course, we've paid $20.00 a bale for about a 70-80 pound bale.

I'm in Georgia in the middle of the southeast drought and in an area where not much alfalfa is grown, but it's still painful.

The norm here is Bermuda Grass Hay but it's just about impossible to find because of the drought and the price for it is approaching $10.00 a bale for about a 40-50 pound bale.

Praying for rain next year!!!
