My last building I used white metal siding for a liner. Looks very nice,but does echo. Not as bad with equipment in there. It is a pole building so with purlins on the inside I ran it vert. If you had regular studs I would think horz. would be most practical. The local Amish use the metal siding horz. on the outsides. They mostly use block foudations with stud walls.
