Cast external weights are preferred and unless it's a 2WD loader tractor. They will be sufficient.
If it's a 2WD loader tractor then use cast weights and washer fluid.
Where are you located? The cost might be reduced by diluting the washer fluid if -40F protection is not required.
Salt water/Calcium Chloride is obsolete technology. And it's just asking for trouble.
