Hi, If you have a hydra speed then the s/n should
start with a 5 and then 5 more numbers. Your s/n
would indicate that is a variable speed. The
hydra speed would be a true hydrostatic. In 1972
to save cost they went to a vari-speed. I just
sold my MF 12-it is now a pulling tractor with a
big engine. Roughly 12,000 were sold as hydra-
speed and 17,000 as vari-speed. Chuck
