Cooper owns a portion of a couple plants in China and is procuring their radial-large truck tire line from Mfgs. in China. If I recall there will be passenger and LT tires coming from China with the Cooper nameplate on them if it hasn't happened already. Soon that will change, China's growing infrastructure is demanding the same products (tires in this case) as the North American markets. They will start comsuming what they are striving to export. Meanwhile we have given them technology to do so. Much of the North American investments into China plants are providing state of the art tire and wheel facilities. Ironically (not really) the Chinese 'copy' the designs of the equipment / technology used and build the same equipment for less. You can do that if you don't believe in individual rights. A difficult Catch-22 to take... D
