Dad had so much trouble that the finally modified the box such that he could slide it on the post in the morning and remove it at night. The problem with making an indestructable box/post is that you are endangering the public. If anyone happens to slide their car into your "Arnold Schwarzenegger" built mail box/post and claims they were injured because it would not break, then you better have good insurance.
