what I'm actually doing is adding a thumb to my Long 3pt backhoe. I believe it must be an open center system due to the fact that the backhoe used to have a pto pump and I removed that and hooked it to the single remote on the tractor. The hoe actually works much better off the remote on the tractor than it ever did on the pto pump. I know the resevoir on the tractor is approx. 17 gallons. The lever to actuate the remote is held in the open position to provide power to the remote which I guess kinda answers the my question in some respect. Have I created an open center by holding that lever open? That is what the manual says to do. By the way, when that lever is open it diverts power away from the the 3pt lift arms...release the lever and the 3 pt. works if you get my drift. I really appreciate your help. Thanks DJ
