My Father in Law had a Nuffield Years ago, and
it had a lever for operating an external cyl. But
I think it was one way. The dealer had rigged it
with a two spool valve IT HAS TO BE AN OPEN CENTER
VALVE or the tractor valve will keep kicking off.
Seems like the return line went to a spot on the
rear of the transmission. Like I said it was at
least 40 years ago and My memory is not that good.
