I just went down the same road you are on. I have a Bushhog brand cutter and stripped the gears in the box. From what I was told at the parts counter it is most often cheaper to buy a whole new box than try to fix the one you have. It seems to me that those box's are fairly universal and I picked up an aftermarket 40HP box for around $100. The Bushhog brand box was more expensive, and probably better, but I beat the crap out of this thing anyways so figured what the heck. Aside from the economics of the matter, those things are aggravating to tear into, alot easier to just swap em out. I got mine from Agri-supply. Best of luck----Peabo
