Check the tension on the bale hooks they could be to tight. If you are using those Chinese junker bolts for shear pins then go to grade 5 or get some shear pins from the dealer. I found that the cheap Chinese bolts are not strong enough also set the Clutch PTO shaft so that it will slip just before the bolt shears saves a lot of bolts and time. Check to see how much you are feeding if its to heavy this will cause all of these problems. I just went though a whole new learning experience on my NH 78 its a great baler but needs to be setup correctly. Also the needles should just lightly rub the right side ( seen from back of baler) of the knotter frame when at the top of the travel. Also get a manual it will pay for itself in no time. Walt
