No a 16.9 is not the same higth as a 14.9 it is much taller . as i have had both . Set as set of both side by side or use your tapemassure . I put the 16.9's on to go play as eveybody wanted bigger tires to be competive well while all of us were putting bigger tires on the guys that already had them were building there motors to stay one setp ahead of the rest . So the Stock antique tractor pullen was no longer STOCK . If ya can't get enough traction with a 14'9 on a M-560 then ya had best add some weight or why no just put a set of 30.5 32's on with a big set of floaters on the ft. then ya can sell the boat and just use the tractor for water skien .
