I agree. I put a ramp to our front door when my wife was going to have knee replacement. I only had so much room to make it work, and in practice, it is a little steep. A heck of a lot better than no ramp at all, but kind of scary for a wheelchair bound person to go down alone and really hard for them to make it up on their own. But with someone pushing up or holding back going down it is just fine. My ramp is only about 4' wide, and that has never been any problem at all. Again, I built it to fit the space I already had.
