My brothers neighbor was a landscaper about the time of the breakup of the USSR.He bought a new Belarus 28 hp tractor for $5600 and used it a year or two before the hydraulic cylinder broke.He couldn't find parts,the company was out of business,the whole country was out of business.He asked the machine shop my son in law worked in about building a replacement from scratch.The estimate was more than he paid for the tractor.
