They make some concentrated cleaners to clean out AC evaporators that clean out the stink, mildew and scum. Most are a bit acidic so have to dilute it some and rinse again and air dry. I'd have to look tomorrow to see what jug of AC cleaner I have says on it but think I bought it from Grainger industrial but any AC or refrigeration place should have something too. You'll see that auto AC spray deodorizer at parts stores but it won't last long for what you are wanting to do. Got to get the mildew and mold cleaned out.
