I do know that our gas has a lot longer shelf life." ---- Yes indeed! I too have observed easier starting, improved fuel mileage, far superior shelf life, etc. when using gas purchased in Ontario. Canadian gas even has an entirely different smell from the lousy "reformulated gas" refiners offer us here in NY state.
