Does this mean you won't be taking your Chief out on the SuperSlab? I nearly bought the farm several years ago when my Knuckle dropped a valve at 60 MPH heading into Boston. That usually leads to a motor seizure and a sideways skid followed by several hundred feet of rapid crashbar disintegration. Luckily the valve head assumed the shape of a cashew nut and I was able to disengage the foot clutch before motor seizure and skin removal. Of course, the abrasions would have been nothing compared to being run over by the following traffic. Bike Week will be in Laconia, NH in less than a month. Last year there were 10 fatalities.
