If it isn"t loosing coolant, it isn't leaking. With that said, monitor the level and be sure it is not loosing any. Bubbles would be there even when cold and running if it is a combustion leak. If the Thermostat is stuck shut it could be the problem. It needs the Tstat, but not a broken one. If one cylinder seems to take a while to get going, (and you are sure it is running on gasoline on that cyl) then it may be a bit low on compression. A diesel tester is needed to check it. JimN
