Need fluid info on IH 340 Utility

I'm waiting on my manuals to come in...can't help but tinker with my 1958 (serial # 908) 340 utility tractor that I just bought. It has several small leaks here and there and seems to be OUT of hydrolic fluid. I've put 5 gallons in it and still not flowing out of check hole on left side of transmission. Anyone know the capacity for this tractor? I don't want to put in too much...the hydrolics are working tho I haven't tried to lift any implements yet. Thanks!
