Put the post over on the JD board n ask for Glen in Tx or Duane, either can answer it but I think Duanes up at Portland. If it were anything BUT A D I could answer your question but I hate them lol and the ones that have the flywheel marked Left Hand Retard versus Left Hand Impulse like most all other Deeres that used the mags having the adjustable impulse timing (like the Dixie n Edison Splitdorf etc) are Greek to me. Regardless when the left hand exhaust flywheel mark is in the 3 o clock position lined up with the flat mark on the tractors side the left hand exhaust valve should just be starting to open IFFFFFFFFF the cam n crank n flywheel are all timed correct, its just the igntion timing on the D's and flywheels I described above thats a mystery to me.
