What is your primary use for the charger? If you are going to use it for jump starting vehicles then you really need a large unit with the large price tag. If you are mainly recharging dead batteries you are probably better off with a small unit. I very rarely use my 500 amp boost unit. It is not very practical for recharging dead batteries unless you can be there to monitor it. The one I use the most is a 2/10 amp with 50 amp boost that cycles on and off after a battery has reached full charge. I can leave it on a battery for weeks without worring about overcharging. A fully discharged battery make take a 100 hours or more to get properly recharged and a large unit is not practical for this kind of charging. I also have a 2/6 amp unit that is for either 6 or 12 volt. You could buy one of each for your $75.00. For jump starting vehicles I find a good set of 2 gauge jumper cables to be easier to use than the large charger.

A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
